Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Grimoire (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use the Grimoire iOS app and the website at mygrimoireplus.com.
Summary
Grimoire is built offline-first. Your songs, lyrics, and imported audio are stored on your device. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising trackers in the app.
Information you create in the app
- Lyrics, song titles, folders, and settings — stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync (Premium), lyrics and related metadata may sync via your Apple iCloud account. Audio files remain local.
- Imported audio — stays on your device; we do not upload your audio to our servers.
- Playback preferences — such as last position or loop settings, may be stored locally (for example via on-device preferences).
Account and sign-in
If you choose to sign in, Grimoire may use Sign in with Apple and authentication services provided by Firebase Authentication (Google). Depending on how you sign in, this can involve identifiers such as an Apple user ID, email (or Apple’s private relay email), and authentication tokens needed to keep you signed in.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we may use Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple push infrastructure to deliver messages. Device tokens used for push are processed for that purpose only.
Purchases
Optional Premium / in-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple may share purchase status (for example, whether you own Premium) needed to unlock features such as iCloud sync.
Website
Our marketing site is a static site hosted on Cloudflare. Standard server logs (such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL) may be processed by the host for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. We do not run advertising pixels on these pages.
App privacy details (Apple)
Grimoire’s App Store privacy nutrition labels and Privacy Manifest declare that we do not engage in tracking as defined by Apple. The app accesses certain on-device APIs (for example UserDefaults and file timestamps) for app functionality, as disclosed in the Privacy Manifest.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete songs and data from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes local data from that device. If you use iCloud sync, manage or delete synced data through your Apple ID / iCloud settings as applicable. To request help deleting account-related authentication data, contact support@mygrimoireplus.com.
Children
Grimoire is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app or site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
